Day 8 - Who needs sleep??

Saturday - Who needs sleep anyway?

Storms rolled through during the night.  Woke up Coralee and she came running in to the bedroom around 12ish.  Got her calmed down and back in bed.  Next thing I knew I had two of them in the bed with me and it was 6 am!!

Rise and Shine!!!!

So we are up.  Might as well get some breakfast and get some coffee down Aunt Cecily!
Cinnamon rolls - Yummy!

After breakfast we had some play time at the house.  Then it was time for a quick bite and then a BIG surprise for the girls!

Inside Out!

In 3-D

What a great movie!!  Definetly six thumbs up!!!

After we did a little reading and some playing.
We went for an afternoon swim and then settled in for a movie on the TV.

Coralee's Mama and Daddy made it back to the states and will be back home tomorrow.

Day 7 - TGIF!

Had to wake the girls up this morning.  It was pretty slow going and we definitely disturbed the bear!!!  Aunt Cecily tried to be sweet and make cinnamon toast for breakfast, but a confrontation with the bear left the toast forgotten and burnt.  ðŸ˜”

After CVG, we all went to have an afternoon treat at TJs! (Yummy!!)

For dinner, we went to Chickfila to use our free kids meal tickets from our prize bags from the Flippin Sweet Race.  You know they are hungry hippos when the dinner table is quiet!

After dinner, we wanted to go for a dip in the pool but a little storm cloud put a damper on that.

Aunt Cecily has a special treat in store for them tomorrow.  So for now, we will just enjoy playing house, babies, school, doctor, princesses, gymnastics, hospital, checkers, and shopping!  That should keep us busy for at least 15 minutes.

Day 6 - Just a Thursday

Not really much to report today.  The girls were up at dark thirty this morning so we had more leisure time before CVG.  They ate like they were eating for the entire day!!

Aunt Cecily was in big trouble for forgetting it was movie day and not taking popcorn.

The girls went swimming so they tore into some Chex Mix on the way home with Christy. Aunt Cecily had to teach a class so they both hung out with Christy and played until bedtime.

Looking forward to tomorrow and to the weekend!

Day 5 - Special Guests and Hump Day!!

Tooth Fairy Came!!!

(We noticed that the door was cracked open this morning.)

$2.00!!

(Nana said she used to get a quarter per tooth, Christy and Cailey got a $1.00 when they were little - see what those rising oil prices have done to the cost of teeth!  GEEZ!)

**************************

Another busy day at CVG!  Nature Center tour, the park and skating was on the agenda today.

Afterwards, we went home and jumped in the pool.
Then all of a sudden, something emerged from the deep - SHARK!!!

Not really,
It was just a Christy!

*********************
Tired girls increase fussing and fighting... SO...

Reading time!

Next we are going to settle down to a movie and get ready for bed.

Day 4 - Uh Oh!!!!

The house was quiet and they got up on their own.

No poking with sticks and not a single groan.

But it was just minutes before one was screaming...

What did she say?  Oh NO!  She's bleeding!!!

Whew, not bad at all, it was just her tooth that was beginning to bleed.

I grabbed the paper towel just to clear away the blood to see,

And when I went to look inside and get a feel

Her tooth fell right out, no pulling - for real!

After the excitement was down to a dull roar, we finished getting ready for CVG and swimming!!
Coralee reports that it feels really "softy" and that it didn't hurt at all.

We texted pictures to Mama and Daddy!  And Coralee got to text them on our way to CVG.

*****************************

When I picked up the girls they were STARVING (swimming, you know)...  So to protect myself from the impending explosion, we grabbed Sonic drinks and fries on our way home.

After dinner (early cause they were still starving!)  Aunt Cecily was on webcam duty as we watched and waited for everyone to come up from their afternoon dive.
We were pretty sure we saw Jaylon and Lainey come up.  Then we saw Papa and Uncle Marc - they waved and the girls waved back.   (Aunt Cecily began to howl.  :o(  The water is so calm and that has got to be some good diving! )

We got to see Mommy and Daddy on the dock.  Even though we had some texting delays, Coralee was very excited to see them and very quickly learned the "talk to text" button.

*******************************

Aunt Cecily is a meany.  Fussing and fighting all go away when it's reading time for these two!

And then we had to prepare because we are expecting a special visitor tonight!

And now we are ready for another day!     Sweet dreams!!

Day 3 - Just another manic Monday

Monday!  And now the fun really begins...

We picked up Camarin from her Dad's house and can now officially declare it The Week of Twins, the sequel!   And off to CVG we go.
Aunt Cecily made sure they had her phone number in case of an emergency
and then wished them the best of luck!

After a hard day of playing at the park, gymnastics and bowling, the girls were VERY ready for a snack.   Not sure what was so serious to Coralee, but everything got much better after they had some food in their bellies.  They were very busy playing "work" when it was time to go meet Nana.

When Aunt Cecily was done with her meeting, Nana gave her a good report.  They had Whataburger for dinner (good thing both girls really like Whataburger!) and then just played
(it was too windy to swim.)

Quote of the day:
"You have to put on gloves to flip Natalie over.
I know these things because I've been alive longer than you."

Coralee instructed Camarin as they prepared to have surgery on poor Natalie whose ailments were too numerous and too complicated to list (and I am a pretty imaginable speller).  Natalie, the patient, was a female (although I am unclear how that was determined because as per Camarin, you know they are a girl when they have eyelashes) neighborhood little black bug that was just fortunate enough (or rather unfortunate depending on how you look at it)  to be treated by our young doctors.  We are not sure if she will make it or not, it has been touch and go (or rather we touched her and then went on about other business).

Aunt Cecily found the girls both in the guest bed "asleep" and not wanting a 3:00 am wake up call to the tune of "Can't Touch This"  (or is it She's Touching Me?), promptly made the decision to separate them into the separate bedrooms for the night.

Sweet Dreams!!

Day 2 - It's Sunday!! Thank you Jesus!

Day 2

Sunday morning, Coralee snoozed until after 8.  We tried to FaceTime with Mom, but could only see her frustrated face for a second or two before the call would drop.  We will try again soon.

Before church Aunt Cecily told Coralee to get her something for breakfast.
She says, "well, I want french toast".
Aunt Cecily said, "I'm not cooking this morning."
Coralee replys, with her hands on her hips, "why does everyone always ask me what I want and then tell me what to do?!"
LOL!!!  Aunt Cecily quickly informed her that she didn't ask her, she told her to find her something to eat.  With breakfast accomplished, it was time to get ready for church.

Off to church we went.  We decided to visit back at LifePoint because Julian and Melissa and their family were in town.

Happy Father's Day Daddy!   Here is the awesome picture she made you at church.  (Notice the grey tie and the green tie.)

On Saturday night, Cecily received a call around 9 and was told there was lots of food for people at the center.  So after church, Coralee and Aunt Cecily loaded up the food and went to grab a bite and bags to separate the food.  We went over to Celia's and got it all separated into bags to be distributed.

After we bagged it all up, we took a big helping to the Children's Emergency Shelter and then delivered several to the tenants and some to another family in need.  Coralee was astounded by the fact that we were giving away the food for free.  Coralee said that it felt good to be able to help people and give food to people that needed.

Then it was time for church again.  (Aunt Cecily "double dips")  Church was lots of fun and the music was really good.  She didn't get to go to children's church but it was ok cause she got to sit in Jessy's lap and Aunt Cecily's lap.

After church, we grabbed some Whataburger for dinner and  it was time for a dip in the pool!

So now it is bedtime and tomorrow begins our busy week.   Sweet Dreams!!

Day 1 - Racing Superheros!

We began very early by waking the bear.  Coralee is so different when she wakes up than Camarin is, I was about to get a stick to poke the bear!   But once she was up, we had a super great breakfast (cinnamon toast - what else motivates runners??)   and we were ready for the Flippin' Sweet Race!

Check-in was a breeze and we got our awesome shirts and we were ready to go!

We learned many things on our journey!
1) Aunt Cecily REALLY needs some tennis shoes!
2)  The morning breeze carries the smell of bacon in the air and makes us hungry!
3) Coralee decided that walking can be just as fun as running... And...
4)  Hydration is SUPER important!

Once we were done, we headed to Aunt Cecily's to get all their stuff to the house.  When we "FINALLY" got to the house, Coralee was so excited to see that her "pink" tree had purple blooms on it.

And the adventure continues....

After lunch, Coralee settled (if you call hanging upside down with half of your body on the couch and half on the floor settled??) down to watch a movie and Aunt Cecily got stretched out for a little nap.

Then all of a sudden...   The distress call came in!!!!

So what else could we do, but put on our superhero capes and go save the day...

Our poor distressed Nana!  We had only had minutes to spare as we jumped in Blue Lightening, the super duper rescue truck, and made it there just in time.   We carried her from here to there until the mission was complete and we had saved the day!

Poor, poor Nana had locked her keys in the car.

Back home for a nap, and a quick trip to Iggy's (all that rescuing is hard work), then a dip in the pool and our day was almost done.  Dinner and shower, a few more flips and head stands and now Day 1 has come to an end.

Sweet dreams under the Honduran moon!

And so we begin

And so it begins,

This great week of twins.

Five years later, the sequel is finally here,

They are a little older and I should not fear.

They chitter and chatter and bicker and fight,

They are just like two sisters and giggle all night.

We have a packed schedule and and plenty to do,

Thank goodness for CVG and work schedule too!

I survived them as toddlers and I will do it again

The Week of Twins is here and so we begin...
